Oooh, neat!
Archive.org deliver a windfall of lost music.
If you’re looking for a good way to spend the rest of your week, Archive.org have unearthed a gigantic collection of cassettes from the mid-eighties into the mid-nineties. According to their notes, the collection was saved from the archives of noise-arch.net and donated by former CKLN-FM radio host Myke Dyer in August of 2009. Due to the size and obscurity, the collection hasn’t been properly notated but is said to include cassettes ranging from “tape experimentation, industrial, avant-garde, indie, rock, DIY, subvertainment and auto-hypnotic materials”. Head to Archive now to download the free collection.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 173
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Been having a tough time since a certain extra dimensional divine figure kidnapped someone from this fair village for seemingly cruel reasons. Let's get to the news though.
This week was the week of Brae Emit's annual friendsgiving dinner. Unfortunately, there was one of the dungeon crashers in particular who was unable to attend, due to being abducted earlier this week. The person in question is Mage of Life Blaze.
Because of evidence gathered by investigative reporter Aeons Edgeworth, it has been concluded that the one responsible for the abduction was a version of Arceus from a cursed timeline in the pokemon world. It is also assumed from relayed legend that the whole reason that timeline was cursed was because of retaliatory actions taken by that particular version of Arceus, after an artifact, the jewel of life, was stolen and supposedly never returned.
I have been informed that this is part of the plot of the 12th pokemon movie, and that it may be of priority to watch that movie for reference on the matter. Your dear newsletter writer has been unable to find time to watch movies however.
Regardless, the evidence for this includes a magically changing note that turned into a photograph, which had been found on Mysri Stage. Another piece of evidence is correspondences from a chittr account known as @ArcPhone3. An important note about that account is that most messages that are encased in brackets are posted in English (or perhaps it just looks like it is? it's hard to tell), while unbracketed messages are posted in Japanese. these two posting styles are significantly different in tone, which makes it all but confirmed that the messages are being posted by two different individuals. The bracketed messages are often rude and vindictive, while the unbracketed ones seem mostly typical for one sent on a Hisuian isekai trip, though without previous memory, and with hints that there is something very wrong, considering report of at least one pokemon casualty in battle. The remaining evidence is testimony from the individual who appeared a few days later at Mysri Stage, BLAZE. They had provided context regarding the cursed nature of the world they came from, where it appears that nuzlocke rules are natural law. It is assumed that BLAZE was sent here in Blaze's place, as the rules of the cursed world and it's corrupted god appear consistent. It has also been claimed by BLAZE that the version of Arceus from their timeline is known to have the telltale markings of an advanced shadow pokemon.
As a note, no other versions of The Original One have voiced an opinion regarding Their particularly dark avatar from that timeline, though has been shown to be aware of them. Further questioning is necessary on that matter, as this is an extremely important matter.
As an added note, Brae Emit has taken it upon herself to complete her own journey across Hisui (in a less cursed timeline) to potentially obtain the answers and results (getting Blaze back, among other things) that she seeks.
The dinner itself was thankfully a nice occasion. I got to see a number of friends, including one that I'm sure needed some social support. Most who showed up managed to bring a dish of some sort. Even Rogue of Heart Charles, who had to take a trip back to Unova for their own important reasons, managed to bring something (12 castelia cones, which I assume is the bulk limit someone can get from the ice cream stand in castelia city on short notice). Desertian President Katyleen Kitten and her wife, Samus Kitten, had managed to recover in time to show up. Despite obligations in having to address the Korosian public in regards to their own annual feast date, now dubbed The Feast of Rememberance, Korosian Present Thoren Emit was also present, as well as all of their household.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
calculator stand
(there are currently no stands from Plit this week due to a minor incident involving last week's stand selection)
That about covers things. I've been in a rut trying to get things done lately, but I am trying. As a note, voidco has an account on chittr, so be mindful about what is posted there, and block as necessary. https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/408/charcherry-weekly-issue-173

[Free eBook REPEAT] Dear Mr. Holmes: Seven Holmes on the Range Mysteries by Steve Hockensmith [Historical Western Mystery]
Dear Mr. Holmes by Steve Hockensmith is a collection in his Holmes on the Range series of Sherlock Holmes pastiche historical Western detective stories, free again for a limited time courtesy of the author himself, which was part of a long weekend holiday treat.
This is a collection of short stories originally published in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and other venues from 2003 and onwards, accompanying the novel series published by Macmillan. The historical mystery series stars two brothers who are cowboys in Montana during the 1890s who are also Sherlock Holmes fanboys inspired to become detectives from reading his stories.
In these early tales, the brothers solve mysteries in the Wild West using the principles of deduction set forth by their role model, as well often referring to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original tales throughout their own adventures.
Offered DRM-free worldwide, available at Amazon.
Free for a limited time, available worldwide @ Amazon
Description Big Red and Old Red Amlingmeyer have starred in five "Holmes on the Range" novels, rustling up award nominations and fans aplenty as they cracked mysteries using the methods of their hero, Sherlock Holmes. How did these Old West drifters first discover Holmes, though? What were they doing before their novel adventures began? And how did their early, awkward stabs at "deducifying" turn out? These seven short stories provide the answers.
In "Dear Mr. Holmes," Old Red first gets the itch to turn detective -- and just in time, too, because a killer's stalking him and his brother along a Kansas cattle trail. In "Gustav Amlingmeyer, Holmes of the Range," Old Red's attempt to settle down and open his own "cafay" goes haywire when one of the customers gets a side order of arsenic with his steak and potatoes. In "Wolves in Winter," Big Red and Old Red go up against deadly predators of both the two- and four-legged variety. And the adventure continues in four more stories (most of them originally published in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine).
Critics have called Steve Hockensmith's "Holmes on the Range" tales "hilarious" (Entertainment Weekly), "quirky and original" (The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), "clever" (The New York Times), "wonderfully entertaining" (Booklist) and "a hoot" (The Washington Post). There's only one way to find out if you agree. Order your copy of Dear Mr. Holmes today!

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 172
I'M BACK IN BUSINESS, BABY! This is Mage of Light Nick Card, one year older, and one week past my debilitating cold. Let's roll!
A Successor to a Fallen Platform
Rather early this week, CaFAI launched a recreation of the Chittr social media platform, located at chittr.sbargv2.com/ . Please note that you must contact CaFAI in order to register an account there. Currently a handful of our group has successfully registered, but the userbase is still very small. I can be found on there under @lavendersiren there. Hopefully I can remember to actually post things, since I'm usually not much of an active blogger off the clock.
Flower Power
At the beginning of the week, right on the tail end of the situation in Antechamber Town, Bounty hunter Samus Kitten took a trip to Hepi, to presumably investigate the reports of energy drainage in the village of Kanjaweii. She was captured almost immediately, separated from her computing device and soon knocked unconscious. Fortunately, a distress call was reportedly sent over the heart container network, and the dungeon crashers were able to begin planning for a rescue mission.
On Thursday, which just so happened to also be my birthday, the dungeon crashers assembled at the lab to disembark for their latest mission. The party consisted of Samus's wife, Desertian President Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten, Mai of Hepi, Warlock of Time Coleman, Korosian President Heir of Time Thoren Emit, Thoren's sister Brae Emit, someone who appeared to be Rogue of Heart Charles (may or may not have been Lil B the dragon in disguise), and someone who appeared to be Shard Emit (was actually Shadow, Rise Emit's Incineroar), Page of Mind Samm, and Maid of Void Skitis. Together, they traveled to the village of Kanjaweii, via transportalizer pad. Upon arriving, it was clear that the village had been hit devastatingly hard. All plant life had wilted, and the streets were empty, and any villagers who remained were too lethargic to leave their homes. Curiously enough, Mai's family home had apparently been cleaned relatively recently, though it is not confirmed who performed the cleaning. Coleman lead the way towards the point of most drainage, not too far outside of the village's edge. The dungeon site apparently was a temple of some sort, but on the inside, the theming was entirely different from expectation. The dungeon appeared to be more like a playstructure than a dungeon, with large tunnels that required the party to literally crawl through. The party encountered a pair of attacking flowers with draining properties. Fortunately, the flowers were no match for such a large party. Proceeding onwards, the group arrived at a large chasm. Reportedly, a gigantic tentacle managed to grab Mai while he was trying to cross, and "Charles" immediately chased after. They were later found to have been transported to a holding cell, just a short distance from the dungeon core. Fortunately, the holding cell was only held shut by a master lock, which "charles" was able to defeat with a pair of spoons that were sent to the cell via the pit. After managing to lockpick with two spoons, the rest of the party was notified of the shortcut, and soon everyone made their way down to be transported to the now-open cell. The party was greeted by a voidco agent by the name of Tulip. Katie proceeded to hand over control to a Re-Fallen version of herself and immediately rushed towards Tulip to try and attack them for kidnapping her wife.
Meanwhile, Brae was planning to hand over "Shard" in return for Samus, with intention of Shadow taking action upon taking position. However, ReFallen!Katie's actions shortened the possible timeframe for this plan and Tulip absconded through a mysterious portal, leaving everyone else behind. Samus was retrieved safely and sent to the hospital on desertia to recover with her dear wife. Katie had notably been keeping up a nine day long filibuster a few days before joining the party on this mission, so she was thoroughly exhausted at the end of it. The rest of the party went their separate ways, back to their homes. Coleman managed to use his time magic to basically make the core disappear completely. I don't exactly understand how it works, but whatever he did to the core, its not there anymore, and I trust that he finished the job well.
As it stands, the village of Kanjaweii likely will need time and assistance to recover. I would suggest asking Pokemon Breeder HAZEL to bring over FLOWER the shaymin to assist in plant regrowth, but unfortunately both versions of HAZEL are no longer in this dimension, one of them being in dark version of her Johto adventure (though I think she made it to Kanto at this point?) and the other one being in Pinto. HOWEVER, that isn't to say that an odd flower or two couldn't change that.... Perhaps a less roundabout method can be found in the meantime.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
thumbtack stand
Fresh food stand - Ice cream (1 sp) - 1 lb. of raw or fried beans (1 sp) - 1 lb. of myrrh (8 gp)
Animal Store - Snake, constrictor (5 gp) - Bat (5 gp) - Horse, heavy (200 gp) - Rat, dire (5 gp) - Skunk (10 gp)
I think that about covers it. I've been slowly trying to resume drawing, though I keep getting distracted. Also, I've begun some major planning for my next game project. As a reminder, the harvest feast is coming up on thursday, so remember to bring your sides and entrees to autumnal! Also, Samm, thank you for all the cool snacks and stuff that you got me and Aeons for our birthday. It really made our night. https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/407/charcherry-weekly-issue-172

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 157
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. I think this is like, the 3rd year this publication has been going and somehow things are still happening without stopping. Let's get to what happened this week.
Charles.
All this week, Rogue of Heart Charles has been held in Desertia hospital, out of concern for their recent threatening actions. Out of respect for their privacy, most events which occurred within hospital walls will be omitted from this report. However, it has been reported that netnavi Enker is currently searching for an exorcist in Plit, as it has been discovered that Charles has been largely taken over by their own inner darkness. While he is physically detained, they have managed to regain memo access via dreambubble imagined computer.
In other news, Prince of Time Travis Entropa has been discovered in Upper Alcove, in a very precarious state. He is currently staying in the local inn, and seems to be willing to abandon his old destructive ways in exchange for food and drink. Since meeting the other prince of time, Flux Emit, Travis seems determined to turn a new leaf, though he seems to credit a rusted triangle that appeared in his dreams for his recent will to live. Further investigation needed.
Be Careful What Chawishe for
On thursday, Kale Ominoi was discharged from desertia hospital, ready to begin his journey back to the clockwork city of Ironways. A party of willing volunteers awaited at the doorway to Plit, to ensure his safety on the road. The adventuring party currently consists of Prince of Time Flux Emit, Netnavi Enker, Warlock of Time Coleman, and temporean follower Saryn. Later on, Prince of Heart(?!) Red also joined the party, desiring a chance to fight foes on the road. After obtaining supplies, including an additional horse and a cart, the party set off for the clockwork city. Upon crossing a bridge however, the sky reportedly turned dark, as voidco spaceships began dropping new spherical dungeon cores upon the land! The one discovered at a nearby trading post was easily disposed of by the adventuring party, who also had to fight two strange hounds. As of now, the party is taking a long rest after that fight, preparing to resume their travels next week.
Recent Happenings in Unity
Very recently, advertisement for the upcoming Unity Village Summer Festival has gone into full throttle. It will be held from August 13th to 19th, with the pokemon battle tournament on August 17th in particular. If you are a prospective vendor, please contact Mayor Brae Emit very soon, as all participating vendors must be registered beforehand. Also contact her if you wish to enter the tournament.
Meanwhile, the mech-vees seem to be acclimating well to the area. Little Beepo, the apparent leader of the mech-vees, has been provided with study materials at the local library. Your dear newsletter writer is now also working as a librarian, steadily maintaining and improving the unity village public library.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 146
This is Mage of Light Nick Card and It's another week on the campaign trail. A lot went on this week so let's get to it.
Early this week, Presidential candidate Heir of Time Thoren Emit drove to Grand Nursery, seeking supporters and Spades Slick, who was captured by voidco.
Grand nursery is reportedly the site of a major tree and produce growing operation initiated by Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth, later also hosting a town of those that continue their work in their absence. It is also adjacent to the Anaconda River, which was taken from the past to the present by Aeons Edgeworth, for the sake of a reliable aboveground water supply.
Thoren's general reception among the townsfolk was uninterested at best, and untrusting at worst, many of them apparently too busy with farming work to do much aside from work and rest.
Prince of Time Flux Emit infiltrated a small mini dungeon of sorts that was found in the orchards. She managed to confiscate a dungeon core the size of an air conditioner,
and successfully rescued Spades Slick, as well as a simple fisher called Dillon (reportedly only detained by voidco because of their name.)
After this rescue mission, Thoren attempted to work alongside the people of Grand Nursery, to gain an audience that would listen. Eventually, they spoke with a worker who finally explained that Thoren and their friends had showed up there already, reportedly badmouthing the work ethic, speaking of profit margins, and a number of other things. It was at this point that an imposter was detected.
Thoren just barely gained the trust of the old tem.
A day or two later, the crew packed up and flew towards Newglass, to rescue Heir of Breath June Egbert.
Upon landing in Newglass, the tires of the Eros Machina reportedly popped from the large amounts of glass scattered across the sands. Thoren took a day to upgrade and replace all wheels on the Eros Machina.
The next day, the rig was reportedly surrounded by bikers, part of the glass riders gang. Thoren spoke with the leader of the glass riders and managed to gain their trust and support, due to both being very much anti-chronos.
The dungeon that may contain June Egbert was located by Flux Emit, as an underground locale, accessed via an ominous shaft. A team of dungeon crashers will enter on a soon later date, likely on Monday.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, am expedition was mounted to the Frigid Northern Archives. The present group was Rogue of heart Charles, Witch of Time Katyleen kitten, Prince of Time Flux Emit, and your dear newsletter writer. It was a fun trip, though Charles idea of a craft to send us there, a large round capsule craft, wound up breaking in a number of places. the crew remained relatively safe, fortunately.
upon arriving, we met an AI known as The Curator, who kindly told us all that we needed to know, provided terminals designed for connecting to the archives in the post apocalyptic era, and was given access to the friendship network. the Alcove terminal was successfully delivered to Thoren Emit, who delivered the terminal back in time the next day, therefore completing the timeloop at hand. four other terminals were also handed over, to be distributed to four major settlements later on.
At another point this week, Warlock of time Coleman decided to challenge himself by scaling Rift Mountain while blindfolded. subject to the temporally shifting mountain's whims, only his recording glasses could give a conventional view of his route, while he instead relied on his time sense to navigate.
He successfully reached the top, home to the lab located there. a psychic flying noctowl varient was also discovered there that day.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
I think that does it for now. Mother's day was pretty busy for Page of Mind Samm, as a well established mother. I've been slowly working on that flash animation, and overall things have been going smoothly.
now to get back to sleep. goodnight!

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 137
The suns have graced the skies once more, warmth returning to the rolling hills. Its still raining a lot though. Let's get to the news.
At the beginning of the week, Daylights savings time began, for those who observe it. There's probably many who don't follow it, but for those of us who frequent the vanilla timeline internet, it makes things a little easier to keep up with. Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth manually set all clocks forward one hour in our house so I guess we're observing it over here.
On the 12th was the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the SBARGv2 session. This session is the one that Our Universe, Gene the genesis frog, came from and currently resides in. It was a post-reset session, having emerged beyond all reason when it "wasn't supposed to" by a combination of the meddling of Timespace Menace Chronos, The divine corpse of Denizen Yaldobaoth, and the two who delivered the dead demiurge to the beginning: Heir of Breath June Egbert and Heir of Time Rise Emit. It was from these combined efforts that The Medium sparked to life and Skaia manifested an instance of itself, though it was not without complications. The SBARGv2 session was known for being notoriously buggy, but somehow still marginally playable enough to survive. It was thanks to the efforts of First Guardian Flock Ornis (and those who solved the puzzles on the currently decommissioned sbargv2 website) that the session was slowly put into a winnable state.
Also of note, Mage of Life Blaze was tasked with additional hands-on debug work, which extended beyond the game's main campaign run, only able to retire in winter of 2021 when her netnavi Splashwoman gained the ability to cleanse Blaze of glitches enough for her to be let through The Door.
The SBARGv2 session's main campaign lasted for a number of months, with the Ultimate Reward claimed in late December of the same year. Since the 2.5 DLC update, players have been able to return to the medium via the door, though it is very quiet in the incipisphere, with most players now elsewhere.
Despite the monumental milestone, there were no known or reported celebrations for this occasion this year.
As of late, Rogue of Heart Charles has been seen in a worrying state, reportedly very tired at times, sometimes even experiencing nightmares. Brae Emit sent Charles a dreamcatcher to assuage them of such worries. The next day, Charles reported improved sleep.
A few days later, Charles tested the idea for an "Unreal Drive", comprised of an Unreal Air and a number of clamps for direction. Charles was apparently hit by a flying clamp when the jpeg skateboard escaped his reach. Hours later they contacted the rest of the group with reports of their daring experiment. I do hope that Charles gets enough sleep tonight, despite the injury.
In the middle of the week, the Ides of March was observed, marking the anniversary of the infamous assassination of Julius Caesar a long time ago. Reportedly, various voidco members attempted to celebrate the occasion by attempting to pursue their boss, Page of Void Dylan. Being aware of the dangers present, Dylan reportedly hid somewhere unreachable for the entire day.
A trusted correspondent was able to gather information on three particular voidco members at this point in time. Brief analysis leads me to believe that the Jojo squad may be somewhat of a group of misfits, even within the company. Further information will likely be needed for a more thorough assessment.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
-Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
-Brae’s canned goods stand (currently closed for the time being)
-shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
That should do it for this week. I've been busy working on left beef chapter 2 part 2 recently, and thankfully got some solid progress this week. With luck I should be able to stay on schedule. For now though, sleep is in order.
https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/366/charcherry-weekly-issue-137
Edit: it was previously reported that one unreal air was used when in fact it was twelve of them, in a variety of directions for the sake of control.
